Wandering lessons of established loves
Wading ashore dripping with kelp
Faces radiating rays of sunlight
They embrace the beachgoers
One by one with soft warm tender kisses
Sorrows and worries melt away
Infusions of energy surge in time with the surf
Light shoots upward into a
Flock of royal gulls that
Spin with joy
Dolphins and gray whales leap,
Breach, and dance as ruby-glistening
Shadows sparkle atop Neptune’s trident
Accompanied by the rumbling bass of the
Blue whales a mile out to sea
Bright red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violent
Staysails, skysails, and moonrakers appear on the horizon
Flying jibs, foresails, mizzen and main set and filled
With a steady warm westerly breeze
She approaches steadily
Flying fish and pelicans laugh
Tens of thousands more dolphins leap
All the cosmos slowly spins
Music of the spheres swells
Flowers spread over the land
Those gently kissed twirl upward
Carried on fairies’ wings and
Set softly on the barque as she runs downwind
Welcoming smiles from the angel crew
They are long-awaited
He comes, the great captain,
Rudy complexation, small of stature,
Weathered and muscular
Hair like black wool
He speaks.
Guilt is dead.
