Many gems are here. I like that this covenant isn’t that God is waiting for me to get things right, but that He has arranged in His trinity a promise to forgive & save me. God in Himself did all that is needed to welcome me. It doesn’t depend on me at last pleasing God. The Son has pleased the Father, the Spirit bids me to enter within that realm where God is pleased.
How could God be pleased to have me, a messed-up loser, join Him in His work? It’s like putting an ox and a cat in the yoke together! Wouldn’t I just grieve Him & spoil His work? But He has made a way, and wants me there.
